Mint alternative without bank linking
Mint is no longer available. If you want a replacement that does not connect to your bank, Easymony offers a different path: manual entry, local storage, and offline core features.

Mint shut down in 2024
Mint should not be compared as if it were still an active budgeting app. Intuit now directs former Mint users to Credit Karma for connected transactions, spending review, and net-worth tracking.

Choose Easymony if you want to track expenses without bank linking, keep core finance records on your device, and continue working offline. You will enter transactions yourself and maintain your own backup.
Choose Credit Karma if your priority is connected-account visibility and automatic transaction access. It is the service Intuit now presents to former Mint users, but it is not an exact replacement for every Mint budgeting feature.
Easymony vs the post-Mint option
| Factor | Easymony | Credit Karma after Mint |
|---|---|---|
| Current status | Active expense and budget tracker | Mint was discontinued; selected features moved to Credit Karma |
| Transaction entry | Manual | Connected-account transaction view |
| Bank linking for core use | Not required | Central to the connected experience |
| Offline core tracking | Yes | Not positioned as an offline-first tool |
| Storage model | Core records stored on your device | Connected financial data is processed by an online service |
| Budgeting approach | Categories, subcategories, accounts, and optional advanced budgeting | Credit Karma is not a direct replacement for every Mint budgeting workflow |
| Best for | Privacy, cash tracking, manual awareness, or unreliable internet | Connected transaction and net-worth visibility |
Easymony is a better fit when you
- Do not want to provide bank-login access to a budget app
- Track cash or accounts that connectors do not support
- Need transaction entry and reports without internet
- Prefer deliberate manual entry over automatic imports
- Want categories and subcategories for detailed records
Easymony may not fit when you
- Need transactions imported automatically from many institutions
- Want an online credit-score and connected-account ecosystem
- Do not want to enter or review transactions manually
- Need a direct Mint CSV import workflow today
- Prefer automatic multi-device synchronization over local control
What former Mint users should do before choosing
Decide whether automation or control matters more. Bank syncing reduces entry work. Manual tracking removes the need to give a budgeting app bank-login access and can make each purchase more deliberate.
Check migration support. Easymony does not currently promise a direct Mint-data import. Keep any historical exports you still have and confirm what a replacement can import before deleting them.
Test backup and restore. Local-first storage reduces cloud dependency, but losing a device without a usable backup can mean losing records. Create a backup and verify the restore process.
Compare current pricing, not archived Mint pricing. Mint was free, but it is no longer an available product. Compare active services based on the features, privacy boundaries, and ongoing costs that exist now.
